Supporting the agricultural and allied businesses which are an integral component of the regional and inclusive area west of the M1, Central Coast Plateau, the CCPCC has hosted a number of guests in the past three months including.... • Leisl Tesch, Member for Gosford and Sue Dengate Liberal candidate prior to the state elections • Paula Martin, Regional Director CC Business Chamber & Chair Frank Sammut. • Gary Murphy, CEO CCC whom we toured some of the protective cropping businesses with high employment rates. Gary was impressed with what he saw and has asked to visit again to look at citrus, stone fruit and avocado farm businesses, probably in September/October. • Councillors Chris Holstein and Richard Mehrtens in July discussed numerous issues including land use, value of agricultural productivity, development of the CC Plateau Harvest Trail and where CCC is going with agri tourism, LEP status and potential impact on farm gate business entrepreneurial endeavour.
The CC Plateau Harvest Trail is organically growing and gaining social media interest. Each agri business involved is unique in its operation and demonstrates how an alternative income stream can be generated.
